I adored the chemistry between the two characters, and knowing why Phoenix was fighting his attraction to Madison for so long helped make him a character I could love instead of hate, as I was prepared to do after reading August. The road was rocky and though some of the outcomes were expected, how they were resolved was not, which made reading the story pleasant. The sparks that fly between the two were enough to set fire to wet kindling ---no dragon pun intended!.
All in all an excellent read, and highly recommended. Another winner by Selene Charles!

Nice fun read in this series.
Who would have thought a crow, a siren and a Dragon would find their HEA with the three bears.
As the third of the brothers after reading the first two books I knew quite a bit about Phoenix - or so I thought. But this book took me by surprise and sucked me right into a lovestory riddled with misunderstandings and deep emotions, subterfuge and misconceptions, funny quirks and so much romance! I loved the dragons, even though I can imagine how problematic such a ritual can be. As you see in this book. From then on it's breathtaking and sensual and I just couldn't put it down. I'd love to read more about this world and its inhabitants!
Phoenix is the third brother in the Bears of Kodiak series. At the age of eighteen he recklessly walks into a dangerous situation so as not to be thought a coward. That decision not only changed his life but that of a young female dragon.
Madison has been tied to Phoenix from the moment she saw him at her hatching. The only problem is he’s not tied to her…and will be undergoing a ritual to find his true mate.
Selene Charles makes you love the characters and feel for them. The reader will both laugh and cry over the struggles faced by these two fascinating shifters. I couldn’t put his book down until the end. This was a fast and fun read that will make you smile.

I am a dragon groupie.
The story of big brother Phoenix and gorgeous Maddi starts off quite sadly but quickly accelerates into a passionate story with two strong characters and Ms Charles paints a hilarious picture of these two auth headstrong people bumping heads and ultimatly falling more deeply in love.
I LOVED this book! from page one I was invested n the characters and I am amazed at how the author is able to satifyingly bring this story to conclusion in only a few short pages.
This is the satisfying conclusion to the mating story of the 3 Hawthorne brothers and while short, definatly worth the read.
I love Selene's books anyway, but this is a wonderful addition to the Mating Fever series. Phoenix is determined to not ruin his mates life but when forces beyond their control take over there's nothing but dragon's heat between them!
I absolutely enjoyed reading Phoenix. It's a fast paced short story that really brings you into the characters lives. You feel their frustration and pain, you cheer them on and occasionally want to Gibb's smack a certain stubborn bear, but in the end you get to see how they come together as well as see how the brothers all live happily ever after.
Selene did a wonderful job creating this little world in Kodiak and this book helps wrap everything up with warm and fuzzies for everyone.
I def, recommend this to people who enjoy a quick paranormal read. You won't be sorry!
Of the three Hawthorne brothers, Phoenix has always been the risk-taker. The one who intentionally put himself into dangerous situations, just because he was bored. All that changed when he was 18, though, after he was accidentally bonded to a dragon. Since then, he has done his best to make things right - even if it means breaking his dragon's heart...
Madison is miserable. After accidentally claiming Phoenix as her mate on the day she was hatched, she has had to basically give up her beloved skies to stay close to Phoenix. Not that he appreciates it - he's pretty much ignored her since the day she claimed him. But now it's time for his mating ceremony, and she hopes it shows Phoenix that she DIDN'T claim him by mistake - that he really is her One True Mate. Because otherwise, she will be spending the next few millennia mourning a bear that wasn't meant to be hers - since Dragons mate for life.
Phoenix stumbled into trouble at every turn, and if he ever found himself bored mischief was sure to follow. One morning he stumbles into a very important right of passage and changes not only his life but the life of a young woman forever.
Phoenix and Madi definitely get off to a rough and rather untraditional start. Their story was a wonderful read, and I also enjoyed that this book brought the stories of our 3 brothers into a beautiful ending for all of them.
This book was a fun read, and I will definitely be reading this series again.
